85th Session Updates (2017)
Several bills were passed during the 85th Legislation Session relating to school safety and security. The following sections detail these bills while drawing attention to their implications for schools.

SB 7: Reporting Improper Relationships
Relating to improper relationships between educators and students; creating a criminal offense and expanding the applicability of an existing offense.

SB 30: Peace Officer and Civilian Interaction Training
Relating to inclusion of instruction regarding interaction with peace officers in the required curriculum for certain public school students and in driver education courses and to civilian interaction training for peace officers.
