New Registry Notice

A new process for applying to be placed on the Texas School Safety and Security Registry is being developed to comply with changes to law mandated by SB11. Subsection (d) of Texas Education Code Sec. 37.2091 now requires the Texas School Safety Center to verify the qualifications of all persons included in the registry.

UPDATE 2/26/2021: We are excited to share our current concept for the Registry. The sections below provide information about the credentials under development and the pathways to the credentials for the Texas School Safety and Security Registry.

We encourage feedback if you think we have missed training and/or experience equivalencies. Please e-mail us at TxSSC_Registry@txstate.edu to share your thoughts.

Please refer to our Frequently Asked Questions page for more information and definitions about this process. We will update these FAQ’s as needed.
