This section provides information and links from multiple agencies to trainings not only directly connected to the online course, but also additional suggested trainings. Unless stated otherwise, all trainings are free for school districts, open-enrollment charter schools, and public junior colleges to attend. These trainings can enhance your skills and knowledge of school safety.

Trainings for Psychological Resilience Annex Development

Grief Informed and Trauma Informed Practices (TEA)

As a critical system of support for children and adolescents who have experienced trauma, schools can create trauma-informed environments that mitigate against the impacts of trauma and grief. This list offers resources to aid administrators, teachers, and school staff to reduce the effects of trauma and grief suffered by children by recognizing trauma response. Staff can then accommodate and respond to traumatized students within the classroom and refer students to mental health professionals when necessary.

Suicide Prevention, Intervention, and Postvention Resources (TEA)

This course introduces learners to the characteristics of a pandemic influenza, the effects that a pandemic influenza can have on every facet of our society, and the steps their organizations can take to minimize the effects of a pandemic.
