Effective Date: Immediately

The amount of $1,100,000,000 is appropriated from the general revenue fund to the TEA for use during the two-year period beginning on the effective date of this Act for Strategy B.2.2, Health and Safety, as listed in Chapter 1053 (Senate Bill 1), Acts of the 87th Legislature, Regular Session, 2021 (the General Appropriations Act), and House Bill 1, Acts of the 88th Legislature, Regular Session, 2023 (the General Appropriations Act), to award grants to assist school districts in implementing school safety initiatives.
