Effective Date: September 1, 2021

Requires the TEA to provide all school districts and open-enrollment charter schools inkless, in-home fingerprint and DNA identification kits. These kits are to be distributed throughout the district or school upon parental or legal custodian request, for any kindergartener, elementary, or middle school student. Parents or legal custodians may submit this kit to federal, state, tribal, or local law enforcement for assistance in locating and returning a missing or trafficked child.
