Nonsubstantative changes include:

  • Re-alphabetizing the listing for open-enrollment charter school requirements in TEC 12.104(b).
  • References to Texas Health and Safety Code 161.325 changed to TEC 38.351 to align with new location.
  • Safety allotment code change from TEC 42.169 to TEC 48.115.
  • Correcting cross-referenced codes.

Allows schools to develop practices and procedures regarding the TEA's recommended best practice-based programs and research-based practices described in TEC 38.351 for use in the educational setting of their district. Procedures may include providing educational materials to parents and families on identifying risk factors, accessing resources for treatment, support, or student accommodations on campus. The practices and procedures must be included in the annual student handbook and the district improvement plan.
