School Safety Prevention and Management Lunch and Learn

Virtual Lunch and Learn

Please join the Texas School Safety Center as it collaborates with the Department of Homeland Security on monthly lunch and learn sessions.

Sessions will cover current topics related to how districts are addressing school safety, prevention, and management. Resources and strategies will be provided in these informative one-hour sessions with a Department of Homeland Security presenter.

A key topic will be addressed for each one-hour lunch and learn session, including:

September: School Behavioral Threat Assessment and the Importance of Law Enforcement Partnerships

October: School Behavioral Threat Assessment- Training, Reporting, and Systems Management

Please Note: This training is open to public ISDs, open-enrollment charter schools, junior colleges, school-based law enforcement, and state agencies that support Texas schools. Due to limited space, vendors and contractors are not permitted to register for this event.

Not eligible for TCOLE training credit.

All virtual trainings will be provided through the Zoom online meeting platform.
To pre-install the Zoom meeting software click the "Download" button under Zoom Desktop Client or click the following link to watch a video tutorial on Joining a Zoom Meeting. Once you are registered and confirmed, a direct Zoom link will be sent to you 1-2 days prior to the training date.
